RainForest Sumidero Chiapis “Chia”

Sire: RF Kimosabe
Dam: RF River Pebble
Generation from ALC: Taro 7th, ALC Kabuki 10th
HCM screened: normal (sire screened normal over 8yrs of age)
PK-Deficiency: N/N
PRA-b: N/N

Chia is a very wild looking cat, it may be because of the longer shape of her head, the amount of “cut away” below her cheek bones and how relatively long her forehead is in relation to her entire head. She is a light sorrel, with a cream & partly white expression of the counter shading pattern. (lighter underbelly) Sorrel is not our breeding goal, but we recognize it as a stepping stone to the whited underbelly expression.

Junglekatz Joey Rico

Sire: Junglekatz Ocelot

Generation from ALC ancestor: Phantom 6th
HCM screened: normal 4x
PK-Deficiency: N/N

Joey Rico is an outcross male who is from my friend Bonnie Tanner of Junglekatz Bengals.  Sweet Joey brought an extreme profile, ALC ears, and whited genetics to our program.  He is down from our ALC Phantom descent starting from my F2 Joykatz Cerinthe, bought in 1995. Bonnie got one of Cerinthe’s F3s, RainForest Vada. who then produced a fertile F4 boy, Junglekatz Darth Vader. His son was Bonnie’s wonderful JungleKatz Ocelot and Joey Rico is his son, half brother to JK Chunky Moto.  ALC Phantom descents have produced some of the best Whited Expression in the breed, including the work done at Rosetta Bengals by Lisa Arvay.

Amazingly, 6th generation Joey Rico has the exact same ALC spotted chest that his great great grandmother, my F2 Cerinthe had. It a very rare trait in the SBTs.   Joey also has the same ALC-like ears as my homebred 5th generation Phantom line queen, RF Zuri Pakka. …and……He carries his tail mostly low.

Junglekatz Joey Rico was awarded Best Kitten Whited Tummy at On Safari in 2013,
His sire, RW DGC Junglekatz Ocelot was Breeders Choice Best Adult Whited Tummy at On Safari 2010. And Joey’s son, RW SGC RainForest Rico Suave was awarded the 7th Best Adult and Breeders Choice Best Adult Whited Tummy at On Safari 2015.

Joycatz Cerinthe of RainForest

His Whited Expression has a grey undercoat and a grey cast to the white part of the year.  Joykatz Cerinthe (photo here) did not have the grey under-coat in her white areas.

Paired with RainForest Rhianni,  he has produced some of the best SBTs in the breed,  given their success in the show ring.

Ch. RainForest Paloma, On Safari winner

Sire: RainForest Molokai
Dam: Awagati Taro x Singh in Kahoots
ALC Taro F4
June 2008
HCM: screened negative fall 2009
Eyes: screened clear

On Safari 2010
10th Best Adult Bengal in the Congresses

Paloma has such a wild looking face, it is hard to believe she is an SBT and not an Early Generation Bengal.  She is as sweet as can be, one of my favorite cats.  Paloma went to one show and got her championship, coming home with one Best AllBreed Cat Final and one 2nd Best AllBreed Cat final.  I took her to On Safari2010, to help with the adult Bengal count, and she placed tenth !

Paloma is an F4 from the ALC Taro line, a granddaughter of Awagati AmericaTheBeautiful. (Bundas Shakti of Awagati x Junglebook Made in the USA). America was the result of a synergistic collaboration between two well known Bengal breeders: Leslie Hall of Junglebook Bengals (www.junglebookbengals.com)  & Judith Lindeman of Awagati Bengals. America is one the best F2s with respect to retaining the ALC head shape and facial characteristics that we have seen.  Because America has a very similar look to our ALC Kabuki foundation queen, F3 RainForest Golden Chantrelle, (RF Ruby Two Shoes’ mother), we chose to work with this descent and selected the 3 America daughters to join our program. When a breeding between our Molokai and Kahoots could produce Paloma looking so much like her mother, it is a result of these two descents looking so similar. Paloma is partially whited underneath.

RainForest Rimau Akara

On Safari 2009:
7th Best of Congresses Bengal Kitten, sponsored by Jordan Pettay of B-Town Bengals  (www.btownbengals.com)
Breeder’s Choice Best Kitten Tail, sponsored by Bobbi Jean Pratt of Prattmandu Bengals
She received a BEST Kitten in Linda Jean Grillo’s Congress ring and in the weekend show
BEST All Breed Kitten from Ellen Crockett & BEST All Breed Kitten from Linda Jean Grillo

Rimau Akara is the word for Asian Leopard Cat in one of the Indonesian dialects. Her parents are:  RainForest Molokai and RainForest Kubaki.  Akara is a great granddaughter of IW RW SCG Katznjamr Inkosi (www.katznjamrbengals.com )  and of our beautiful foundation female, RainForest Ruby Two Shoes.  She has an extremely high contrasted coat and all her black markings are made of “selfed” hairs where the color is black from tip to base, with no banding; producing a non-fading coat. She is partially whited underneath and has pronounced white and black mascara on her face and her leg stripes are mostly broken into spots. Akara is a seventh generation cat from the ALC Kabuki descent, yet she has a strong early generation look to her, produced by large, very rounded eyes, rounded medium small ears and a long low-slung body. She is friendly and loving. She significantly out-produced herself in her first litter, giving us Balicat & Kimosabe, so we retired her.

This wonderful girl is one of the best. She is an F4 generation cat, as descended from ALC Phantom and seventh generation Kabuki SBT.
She got magic from both sides. Whited underneath and spotted all over, even her tail.  With large nocturnal eyes and great head type with puffed nose leather…..She still takes my breath away. She is from Nzali & Molokai,

RainForest Beckham

Owned by Janet Erwin, Becks has had a very successful show career. During his very first adult show he obtained Champion status. In addition to achieving Grand Champion then Double Grand Champion during his 2nd show, he was awarded Best Cat at 3 different shows! Becks is now a Supreme Grand Champion after just 6 shows. Even though he attended just those few shows, he achieved enough points to attain 11th best Bengal International.

RainForest Songcatcher

A spectacular marble with a very horizontal pattern with four distinct colors, now retired and living with her mother, Border Incident and my niece, Robin.

RainForest Condor Soars

Our exciting son from Ruby and Ghandi. He has a beautiful and smoothly rounded, egg-shaped head type, wonderfully rounded small ears, well rounded muzzle, long forehead and rounded eyes. Notice his long arched neck on a substantial body which is thicker and heavier in the hindquarters, with his hind legs longer than the front ones. Topped off with a solidly thick, low set tail.

The wild type this boy exhibits speaks for itself. To add to the magic is his incredibly loving and confident personality. AND the bonus of sporting a clear coat with black outlined rosettes in which the black outlines are colored all the way to the skin.

Both parents and grandparents tested normal with no heart problems or HCM.

In a competition against 75 of the best bengals in the world, Condor was voted one of the Top Ten Favorite Bengals of 2005 by the 250+ breeders and bengal lovers on the TIBCSMEMBERS List. He was subsequently featured in the “Favorite Bengals 2006” Calendar published by the TIBCSMEMBERS List. [You can see his competition — and why he won!]

Producing a cat like LeeLee is the reason I wanted to work with America’s offspring. What a beautiful young female F5, from line breeding on the ALC Taro descent.  Every black marking on her body is solid black hairs; a rare trait in SBT Bengals; she has a diagonal flow to her pattern and a few thickly outlined rosettes, leg stripes mostly broken up into spots. In addition, LeeLee is partially whited and virtually whited underneath. She has a lovely head with small medium very rounded ears.  A large solid female; watch for her in the show ring as she grows.  She is very confident, friendly and outgoing.
